On Tuesday January 10th, 2023, Vitamin Angels’ Senior Technical Advisor and Board Member, Dr. Clayton Ajello led a discussion on the need to scale the global supply of multiple micronutrient supplementation (MMS)—commonly known as prenatal vitamins and minerals—to meet the growing demand. This webinar, presented by the Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies (HMHB) consortium and hosted by the Micronutrient Forum, was 2023’s first in a series of ‘Coffee and Chai Chats’ featuring leading global experts in the field of maternal nutrition and health.
In this webinar, Dr. Clayton Ajello co-presented with Spencer Kirk, Managing Director, Kirk Humanitarian, and offered practical input on how to address the supply challenges experienced by countries and regional partners in the face of increasing global demand for MMS. Dr. Ajello sited from his recently published paper, UNIMMAP MMS for National Health Systems: Considerations for Developing Supply Strategy. Participants had the chance to ask questions with presenters to promote global collaboration and support of maternal health worldwide.
