Natural Products Companies Join Vitamin Angels for Reception & Launch of Global Prenatal Initiative

Santa Barbara, CA – On Thursday, March 8, Vitamin Angels, a global aid charity that provides nutritional support to women and children in need, hosted its annual League of Angels event at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Guests from more than 180 companies joined the organization in celebrating serving 61 million children and mothers in 2017. Vitamin Angels also announced plans to dramatically scale up its global prenatal multvitamin program, an initiative that would not be possible without the exceptional support of companies in the natural products industry and beyond, in addition to the organization’s proven model for reaching underserved populations globally.

“Our corporate partners are an essential part of the work that we do,” said Howard Schiffer, Founder and President of Vitamin Angels. “Tonight is a night to share what they have made possible over the years and to ask them to continue forward with us as we are combatting another urgent issue, newborn mortality.”

The reception served as an opening night event for the Natural Products Expo West, the world’s largest natural, organic and healthy products event, held at the Anaheim Convention Center March 8 – 11. Vitamin Angels will be exhibiting at the tradeshow throughout the weekend. Companies interested in learning more about the organization and how to partner can visit the Vitamin Angels booth #4658 in the convention center to learn more.

Vitamin Angels thanks the following event sponsors for their support: Walgreens, Kirk Humanitarian, The Vitamin Shoppe, Barleans, Purity Products, Presence Marketing, Pure Encapsulations, AIDP, Thrive Probiotics, Lief Organics, Life Naturals, New Hope Network, Whole Foods Magazine, Zorbitz, NatureWise, NOW Foods, Rainbow Light, SmartyPants Vitamins, Sprouts Farmers Market, Vitaquest, Vitamer Labs, and NexGen Pharma.
