GOLETA, CA., November 12, 2020 – Vitamin Angels is pleased to be named in the “10 of the Best Charities Everyone’s Heard Of” list by Charity Navigator (CN), the nation’s premier charity evaluator.

“At Vitamin Angels our heroes have always been the people we serve, the partners we work with and programs we’ve created to serve those who most need our help. We’ve always felt we were one of the best kept secrets,” said Howard Schiffer, Vitamin Angels Founder & President. “In truth, our partners in the communities in the U.S. and around the world are the most visible! They’re the ones helping us reach the women and children we serve. At the same time, we know that in order to continue expanding our reach, visibility and recognition is very important, which is why we’re so honored to be named on this notable list.”

Vitamin Angels also remains in the top 3% of charities to receive 9 consecutive 4-star ratings from CN, revealing the organizations commitment to upholding sector best practices and executing its mission in a financially efficient and effective way. With over 93% of funds going towards programs and services, Vitamin Angels will reach nearly 70 million nutritionally vulnerable pregnant women with essential vitamins and minerals in over 70 countries around the world, including within all 50 U.S. states, this year.

Domestically, Vitamin Angels reaches 20% of pregnant women who have limited access to prenatal vitamins and minerals through their extensive network of program partners, which include free clinics and public health departments. 66% of their program partner network works in communities experiencing very low socioeconomic status.
