Dr. Basile Kisulu Samyonga serves as an M&E Officer with Vitamin Angels’ DRC team. He previously held roles as Officer of Food Hygiene and Standardization at the DRC National Nutrition Program (PRONANUT) and Medical Director of Alunguli General Hospital in Kindu, Maniema, DRC.
- Dr. Basile Kisulu Samyonga is a Physician, Epidemiologist, Public Health Nutrition Specialist, with over 14 years of Management and Clinical experience, and 8 years of Public Health experience in the DRC’s Health System.
- Before joining Vitamin Angels, Dr. Kisulu S. Basile served as Officer of the Food Hygiene and Standardization Section at the DRC’s National Nutrition Program (PRONANUT), where he led national-level M&E of Vitamin A Supplementation (VAS) and Albendazole deworming indicators.
- In February 2026, as Supervisor, he participated in the National Vitamin A landscape analysis (led by Vitamin Angels), whose findings will shape the country’s new VAS and deworming National Strategy.
- Dr. Kisulu S. Basile holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Goma in the DRC, as well as a postgraduate degree (MSc) in Nutritional Epidemiology from the School of Public Health at the University of Kinshasa in the DRC.
