Ajaz Lone
Ajaz Lone has over 15 years of experience working with various development organizations in India to support developing monitoring frameworks, indicator matrices, impact assessments, and data collection tools, conduct baseline and endline surveys, establish reporting and review mechanisms for various interventions under livelihood and economic development, climate change, gender and human rights, entrepreneurship, trade and commerce, microinsurance, conflict management, nutrition and public health, private sector engagement and diagnostics, tech for good, and social inclusions.
As part of capacity building, he has facilitated monitoring and evaluation (M&E) training for NGO partners and government staff. To make data collection real-time, he has adapted the use of several mobile solutions (Epicollect, CommCare, Kobo, WhatsApp, Google Sheets, and Forms). He has also been involved in implementation research and writing research abstracts and manuscripts for public health, community engagement, and livelihood development-related interventions.
Ajaz has a Master’s degree in Economics from Kashmir University and completed online and in-person courses from various institutions (HBS, Cornell, IRMA, LSHTM, APMG). In 2020, he completed the ‘Leadership Accelerator Programme – Building Future Social Leaders’ fellowship from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management-Bangalore.
