Animesh Rai joined Vitamin Angels in India as the Senior Implementation Science Manager. He is a healthcare management professional with over 14 years of experience in managing large-scale government and donor-funded projects. He has worked with for-profit and not-for-profit social enterprises in developing cross-cutting health interventions and sustainable solutions. 

Animesh has worked in the fields of implementation, healthcare operations and quality, qualitative techniques, monitoring and evaluation, and policy and advocacy. Backed with a degree from the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi, a Master’s degree in Health Management from the Indian Institute of Health Management Research, Jaipur, and a Master’s in Public Administration from the Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi, Animesh is a recipient of the Peter Ackland scholarship for the Global Eye Health program at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. 

He is also pursuing his fellowship program in health, a doctoral study from the International Institute of Health Management Research, New Delhi. Before joining Vitamin Angels, Animesh worked with the Association for the Prevention of Blindness, Uttar Pradesh, RTI International, Engender Health; Columbia Global Centers, South Asia, and the National Health Mission, Gujarat.

Animesh has been a team member since August 2022.
