Proven Nutrition Interventions Improve Health and Save Lives

At Vitamin Angels, we implement high-impact, evidence-based nutrition interventions. We focus our package of nutrition solutions on critical window of time between a woman’s pregnancy and a child’s fifth birthday. The vital first 1,000 days – from pregnancy through age two – is particularly important for increasing child survival, improving growth and development, and ensuring positive maternal health outcomes.

Our Package of Nutrition Solutions

To improve health for women and children, we provide our program partners with evidence-based approaches and interventions – from high-quality vitamins and minerals to nutrition education and counseling designed to encourage positive behavior change. All of the nutritional products we distribute are manufactured to internationally recognized quality and manufacturing standards. To ensure our program partners can deliver interventions effectively, we provide training and resources. Additionally, our educational programming is designed based on theory and evidence-based best practices.

Vitamin A Supplementation and Deworming

For children aged six months to five years who are at risk for vitamin A deficiency, supplementation boosts the immune system, promotes physical growth, prevents blindness, and improves survival rates. Adding Albendazole, a deworming treatment, ensures children can optimally absorb the nutrients they receive for improved child health and nutrition.
