Vitamin Angels, a global nutrition nonprofit dedicated to providing underserved women and children with access to essential nutrients, recently earned a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, America’s largest independent charity evaluator. This is the 10th time that Vitamin Angels has earned this top distinction, further showcasing its strong financial health and commitment to accountability and transparency.
Using objective analysis, Charity Navigator has awarded only the most fiscally responsible and transparent organizations a 4-star rating. Vitamin Angels is among the top 3 percent of charities to receive this designation 10 consecutive times, revealing the organization’s commitment to upholding sector best practices and executing its mission in a financially efficient way.
“It’s important that our donors and partners trust that we’re using our funding wisely to accomplish our mission to ensure every mother has a healthy pregnancy and every child gets a chance at a healthy life,” said Howard Schiffer, Vitamin Angels founder & president. “This 10th consecutive 4-star Charity Navigator rating demonstrates to our supporters that we place a high priority on ensuring our funding is used in the most efficient, impactful way.”
With 94 percent of expenses, cash and gift-in-kind going toward programs and services, Vitamin Angels reached 60 million undernourished pregnant women and children in 65-plus countries around the world, including the U.S., in 2020.
While the spread of COVID-19 has slowed in the U.S., many countries around the world are still being greatly impacted. As Vitamin Angels continues to implement its programs worldwide, donors can be confident that their support has a direct impact on the most vulnerable populations during this health crisis.
