Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Specialist in Nigeria

Olayinka Orefunwa

Olayinka is an expert in designing, implementing, and managing M&E systems within humanitarian and development with over 12 years’ experience. In his role as Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Specialist in Nigeria, he provides technical support to advance the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of Vitamin Angel’s Program Division’s monitoring, evaluation, and research capacity. Olayinka is result-oriented and organized. My interest centers mainly on improving the nutrition of infants and young children, as well as pregnant women especially in underserved communities, such as those in Africa.

He has worked with for-profit and not-for-profit social enterprises on developing cross-cutting health and livelihood interventions and sustainable solutions. Backed with a Bachelor’s degree in Geography and Master’s degree in GIS and Remote Sensing both from the department of Social Sciences at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria, a Certificate in Health Research and Data Management from College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Nigeria, and Certificates in Monitoring and Evaluation, Economic Evaluation, Project Management, Global Health Research, Epidemiology and Policy Development and Advocacy for Global Health from University of Washington Department of Global Health, Seattle, Washington USA.                                                      

When I am not working, I like to watch movies and spend quality time with my family.
