Shruti Menon is a trained public health professional with over 10 years of experience working in health, education, and youth-led development. Overseeing programs in India, Shruti helps the Vitamin Angels team expand their programs and reach in communities across India. With an extensive background in health, and education from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and the London School of Economics, Shruti understands the value of health and works tirelessly to change the lives of others.

At 18, she was diagnosed with grand-mal seizures and she is proud to say that she has never let her condition define her career choices or limit her aspirations. Shruti’s favorite part of the job is being in the field and having the opportunity to meet beneficiaries…especially the little ones (kids)! Her role comes with a lot of responsibility and travel so she admits that after a long trip nothing beats the feeling of coming home to the warmth of homemade chicken curry and rice.

Before joining Vitamin Angels in India, Shruti worked with Deshpande Foundation, BGM Policy Innovation Pvt Ltd, Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation, and CEHAT among others, on youth-led development, education, and health. In 2019, during her time at VA, she became an Acumen India Fellow. 

Shruti has been a team member since 2017.
