Walter Adhawo

Walter Adhawo is a Data, Analytics, and Information Systems professional at Vitamin Angels supporting data-driven program implementation through monitoring, evaluation, analytics, and information systems strengthening. He works with program teams and partners to improve data quality, partner monitoring, reporting, and the use of evidence to inform decision-making and program improvement.

Prior to joining Vitamin Angels, Walter held data leadership roles across USAID-funded health and social protection programs, where he led the design and implementation of management information systems, digital data collection platforms, analytics dashboards, interoperability solutions, and monitoring and evaluation frameworks. He has extensive experience translating complex data into actionable insights that improve program performance and strengthen service delivery. Walter holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Data Science and Analytics.

Walter is inspired by the power of data and technology to improve health and nutrition outcomes for vulnerable communities. He enjoys working at the intersection of systems, analytics, and program implementation to help organizations make well-informed decisions.

Outside of work, Walter enjoys farming, hiking, nature photography, and exploring the diverse landscapes of Kenya. He is particularly passionate about geography and the outdoors, and can often be found documenting wildlife and scenery during his travels or spending time on the farm.
