NEW DELHI AND VARANASI, India (June, 2018) Vitamin Angels has a number of consultants worldwide working on the ground to coordinate programs with regional program partners. Of our global programs, India is the largest by a landslide. Boasting over 400 program partners and a goal to reach 13.5 million children and 500,000 mothers by the end of 2018, our programs team in India is faced with no small task. Last month, the team met with existing and new program partners in New Delhi and Varanasi to share learnings from the field, engage in ongoing refresher training, and review new data reporting regulations.
In New Delhi, some of the organizations that participated included Holy Family Health Center, New Delhi Children Hospital & Research Centre, Swadeshi Sewa Sansthan, Pardada Pardadi Educational Society, Max India Foundation, and Shri Naroti Lal Buddha Sansthan (SNBS). The districts that these organizations work in are Bijnor, Bulandshahr, Saharanpur and Agra.
While the Varanasi meeting saw organizations like Amar Saheed Chetana Sansthan, Fatima Hospital, Jiwan Jyoti Christian Hospital, Manav Sewa Kendra, and Vishwa Vani. These organizations work in the districts of Varanasi, Mau, Sonbhadra and Gorakhpur.
The outcome of these mini alliance meetings is not only aimed to train and educate, but also to provide an opportunity for new and existing organizations alike to share their experiences and collaborate towards providing the most effective distributions for the mothers and children we serve.
