SANTA BARBARA, CA – On Thursday, March 9, Vitamin Angels, hosted more than 400 guests representing nearly 100 companies across the Natural Products Industry and beyond, for its annual League of Angels reception. The event raised approximate $135,000 through sponsorships and onsite fundraising, the proceeds of which will go to supporting Vitamin Angels’ efforts to combat childhood malnutrition worldwide. The evening’s success underscores the tremendous industry support of the charity and a shared belief in the power of vitamins to combat a global health problem.

League of Angels took place at Angel Stadium in the Ketel One and Diamond Clubs and brought together industry executives and associates representing retailers, manufacturers and vendors in a unique networking event. Guests who attended were treated to presentations by Schiffer and executive members of Sprouts Farmers Market. Throughout the evening, attendees supported the charity through various fundraising activities such as hitting in the Anaheim Angels’ official batting cages, taking private, behind-the-scenes tours of the stadium, and making purchases at a global goods store that featured items from around the world.
Following the reception, Vitamin Angels hosted a booth at the Natural Products Expo West, which took place at the Anaheim Convention Center. Representatives shared information about Vitamin Angels’ work and shared cause-marketing opportunities with interested companies.
