FRIDAY, DECEMBER 17, 2021; GOLETA, CA –  Today, Vitamin Angels announced the appointment of Jim Hamilton, as Chair of Vitamin Angels’ Board of Directors. Mr. Hamilton’s strong background in the natural products industry, excellent C-suite level connections, extensive leadership experience, and passion for serving vulnerable communities has well-equipped him for this role.

“After 10 years of service on our Board, we are thrilled to have Jim as our new Chair,” said Howard Schiffer, Vitamin Angels Founder & President. “The vote on Jim assuming the Chair role was unanimous – a strong endorsement of his support by the Board!”

Hamilton succeeds Michelle Goolsby, whom has retired as Board Chair after 9 years of service. During her time as Board Chair, Michelle worked to recruit top talent, to bring in diversity, and to set up a well-functioning committee structure. Most importantly, she was tremendously effective in moving the Board forward so they could fully support the incredible growth of Vitamin Angels during a very dynamic time.

“To say we’re sad to see Michelle step down from her role as Board Chair would be a vast understatement,” said Schiffer. “Michelle has helped us navigate through so many trying times and tough decisions over the years. She has the special ability to see through complex situations and help us arrive at simple and sensible solutions. Thank you, Michelle, for your outstanding work and contributions to our organization.”
