BabyGaga: Donations To Non-Profit Matched To Support Pregnant Women With Prenatal Vitamins

Vitamin Angels, which provides lifesaving vitamins to mothers and children under five at risk of malnutrition, helping to reduce preventable illness, blindness, and death, is one of many charities doing their part to fight the coronavirus pandemic.

The Santa Barbara, California-based organization is continuing to provide nutritional relief amid increasing food insecurity during the pandemic. Until May 10, We Like Vitamins, which produces high-quality products at affordable prices, will match every donation to Vitamin Angels up to $15K. All We Like Vitamins products are encapsulated and bottled in the United States in facilities that follow strict GMP standards.

There are hundreds of thousands of underserved pregnant women across the United States who have gained strength and hope for their children’s futures thanks to the prenatal multivitamins they receive from Vitamin Angels’ field partners nationwide.

Vitamin Angels is a leader in the global effort to reduce newborn mortality rates by consistently increasing its prenatal multivitamin program to meet the needs of 50 million women annually by the year 2030. With an estimated 7,000 newborns dying each day, according to data released by UNICEF, Vitamin Angels is a major force for good by enabling the distribution of prenatal multivitamins to its more than 1,600 field partners. This distribution directly impacts improved birth outcomes and saves newborn lives on a global scale.

According to Vitamin Angels, during pregnancy, the nutritional needs of women increase to meet the growing demands of expecting mothers and their unborn babies. When pregnant women lack adequate access to healthy foods, the lives of both her and her baby are put at risk. Prenatal vitamins help support healthy pregnancies, prevent anemia, encourage fetal growth, and ensure infants are born at healthy birth weights. They are also vital to the health and survival of pregnant women and babies.

Prenatal multivitamins include folate, vitamin A, zinc, vitamin D, iron, iodine, and others for a total of 15 different vitamins and minerals that are needed to meet the daily nutritional requirements of pregnant women. The vitamins provided by Vitamin Angels and their partners are produced in accordance with those recommended by the WHO and UNICEF.
